Source/Origin: A medium-sized softwood widely distributed throughtout Europe and Northern Asia.
Appearance: Sapwood creamy white or pale yellow. Easily distinguished from the yellow-brown to reddish heartwood.
Common Uses: General Construction, Flooring, Panelling, Interior Joinery.
Janka Hardness: 2.6
Durability: Not durable.
Availability: Not very common.
