Source/Origin: Found in diverse climates, from cold mountains to hot tropical regions.

Appearance: Light brown to green with horizontal lines and vertical grain.

Common uses: Bamboo is used extensively in gardens, furniture and as an alternative building material. It is very useful for light structures. Also great for flooring, very hard.

Durability: When treated, bamboo forms a very hard wood which is both lightweight and exceptionally durable.
