Source/Origin: A common medium-size hardwood of central North America.
Appearance: Heartwood pale yellow-brown to mid-brown, also sometimes with a pink tinge to it.
Common uses: American Oak is known as a good internal joinery wood as well as handy cabinet timber. Flooring and Carving.

Durability: Moderately durable.
Availability: Imported/Fairly Common
