FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS: (Patents Pending)
Capacity: Units range from 10 to 500 cubic metres of sawn
timber. At any stage of your development, low cost add-ons are
possible to increase capacity of each unit to meet business
growth needs.
High Durability-Low Maintenance: Aluminium and stainless
steel frames and components are durable and impervious to any
type of corrosion. Fully fabricated robust engineered frames are
available for large, type 8 units.
Roll On/Off Reloading: The entire kiln and fixtures
simply roll over an adjacent timber charge that can be prepared
at any stage during the lead up to being required. Depending on
kiln size, changeover takes 5-30 minutes. The finished charge
stands well clear of the kiln for unloading by forklift without
need for kiln entry or trolleys. Our technology often produces
more than faster same-sized technologies because of reduced
loading downtime.
Supplementary Heating Options: Solar heating can be
assisted by a range of optional gas, steam or hot water heating
systems for uniform production under the worst seasonal climatic
conditions.
Triple Skin Cladding: The outer covers are basically high
quality ultra violet protected plastic film. They are
inexpensively, routinely and easily replaced approx each 4-5
years. Using two separate inflation/ air circulation units, the
three covers create two air cavities. The outer static air
cavity forms an effective double-glazed insulation barrier. The
inner cavity circulates air from kiln to kiln, collecting heat
created by ultra violet absorption of the black inner
“bubble-wrap” plastic cover. Note that the bubble wrap cover is
a significant element of our vastly improved solar collection
system.
Efficiency: Our R&D program has improved the already
highly efficient 2002 models in terms of net energy captured and
actually maintained for the process by a large degree.
Multi-functional Solar Heating System: Creates all or
most of the heating energy for quick drying (conventionally)
even in the worst solar environments. In warm to hot
environments, our systems are unbeatable. Recent feature of our
system is the automatic function of changing the solar collector
to another insulation barrier when solar activity is non
existent. Clients are always surprised at the amount of energy
that can be created on extremely cold sunny days or when cloud
cover is thick.

Circulation Fan Airspeeds: Speeds to 4.5 m/s depending on
individual needs. Variable speed reversing fan options are
available and standard for our advanced cyclic drying
technology.

Smart-Vent: Fully automated system that overrides normal
kiln humidity venting, eliminating wasteful venting when ambient
humidity conditions are higher than the kiln. Earlier proponents
of this system correctly suggested that this feature would
improve heat energy performance by over 30%.
Solar-Banking: A system that relies on
operator maximum temperature schedule inputs that, where wood
properties make it possible allow surplus heat energy to be
stored in the timber mass for use in the night ahead or to store
surplus heat in the lumber until the next day and drying phase.
Multi-Mode Operation: Alternative drying schedules,
accessible through the pc central control system include
provision of a patented feature that allows the system to
automatically respond to specific climate and process conditions
by changing from solar mode only to supplementary heated mode;
maximizing each option, reducing energy inputs and optimizing
the process in general.

Main Operator Screen
Multi-Phase Operation: Patented features that provide and
allow individual schedules to automatically deploy for each
phase (periods of activity within a typically 24-hour cycle) for
each mode of operation within any drying schedule.
Weather Station: Integrated with the control system to
perform a number of new functions, this system incorporates
ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed, barometric pressure
and light intensity. A range of patented interactive functions
surround this array.
Omron Scada Report Package: Routinely logs and stores all
process, kiln and ambient condition details to enable process
optimization and QC records. This facilitates our capacity to
deliver offline control and technical support to all approved
operations that enjoy our technology and service. (A virtual
laboratory at every kiln site)
EBAL Function: This feature automatically calculates,
selects and implements appropriately balanced kiln EMC
conditions from a psychometric chart to maintain required
differential and case mc limits WHEN the system detects wood
conditions, the need for it and accordingly selects optimal
timing to adopt it.
Online Alarms and Control: Modem allows for control
software downloads and upgrades, maintenance, trouble shooting,
offsite control and monitoring functionality.
