To give perspective to the
exceptional results of our most recent R&D program, a reader
must understand that our major technical improvements were to an
exceptionally sound 2001-2002 kiln technology that produced
enviable results in terms of efficiency and quality and enjoyed
market leadership status at that time.
Despite its market-preferred
status in 2002, our latest technology has benefited by a further
$750,000 spent on highly successful R&D to make our technology
an undeniable proposition for most applications against all
other drying technologies currently available. Areas of special
focus were control sophistication (de-skill) and efficiency;
capacity to perform reliably in terms of process time under very
low and very high solar energy climatic extremes.
Since our successful improvements
in 2001-02, we have introduced a multitude of new and novel
features and vastly upgraded control automation technology
including:
-
Improved outer cladding/
solar-collector material that quadruples solar heat
creation.
-
Cladding fitting methods and
mechanical features that improve insulation properties
markedly.
-
Increased energy effectively
delivered to the process compared to our successful 2002
models by as much as 900%.
-
Smart venting systems that
overrides normal kiln humidity venting, eliminating wasteful
venting when ambient humidity conditions are high.

|
-
Unique and sophisticated online moisture
sensing array and fully automated supervisory functions to
optimize and safeguard the drying process.
-
Comprehensive ambient-kiln process
data-logging and online centralized control systems.
-
A system that can actually pay for itself
in 1-2 years on comparative energy input savings alone.
Heat Treat Kilns:
Following representations from department of
environment and ozone Fiji, the United Nations and Australian
Department of Ozone and heritage, we have developed a prototype
sustainable solar heated kiln that will be tested in Fiji in May
2007.
This system is aimed at providing a method of
avoiding commonly used ozone depleting and physically harmful
methyl bromide gas commonly used to kill insects and pathogens
on wood and packaging materials for export.
Just another practical way that ACTS globally
significant technology is helping our environment and protecting
our planet every day.
Inquiries are welcome.
